I’ve been telling this too everyone I have discussed diet with since the late 90s/early aughts, when I took biochemistry. People stubbornly refused to consider it necessary to just cut out refined sugar and sweeteners, to train your body to crave healthy carbs and protein, instead of flooding it with artificial chemicals that can often trick your body into releasing insulin, with no concomitant influx of glucose to the bloodstream. This has disastrous metabolic effects and can result in weight gain, as well as the neuroexciting side effects.

I remember seeing Blaylock’s book in Barnes & Noble when it came out. I picked it up, read through it, thought ‘well, makes sense’ and began avoiding MSG, as well.

As for the WHO, there’s a calculation of some kind in their report, for someone to benefit, other than consumers. The question is, who?

Kind of similar to the aluminum-Alzheimer’s connection. We’ve known about the link for decades yet they’re still trying to act as though it’s uncertain.

I was going to say, I remember the O Chem majors at my college (graduated ‘88) telling us to stay away and it turned to formaldehyde. Was appalled when expecting my first child in ‘93 and the “nutritionist” claimed it was okay for pregnancy. Told her no way.

Who does the World Homicide Organization represent?

They should mind their own business. I never voted for Bill Gates (owns 40% of WHO).

It’s like the DOHERTY institute in Australia coming out with a study to show garlic is very effective against Covid. When our grandparents knew all along!

As the say. There is something to those old wives tales!

Yes, we have know of this for many years, but like so many other things (statins, low fat diets, egg white omelets, etc) the lies have continued to control the narrative. What is shocking to me is that so few of our fellow docs have been willing to read ANYTHING outside of the official medical channels. Here in Alabama where the largest employer in the state is UAB (whose major product is healthcare research, training, and service), the brainwashing of most people inside AND outside of medicine is profound.

Enjoyed your presentation in Ft Worth, but would ask for more on the treatment side next time around! I’m putting neuropsychiatric material together & like so much else in SpikeWorld, it seems that there are many mechanisms & so much individual variability. Then again, many years ago I realized how every patient had to be truly considered as an individual so “expert consensus guidelines” have not held much influence on me. Seeing how the guidelines are always FULL of new & expensive agents, even a little skepticism would do our colleagues much good!

I have long suspected that aspartame may have played a role in my father’s diagnosis (and eventually death) of Parkinson’s Disease. For the last 20 years or so of his life he would use Equal in his coffee (he said he preferred the taste over sugar, weird I know). His doctor had assured him that 1 or 2 packets of Equal a day is not enough to be concerned about, but I was always suspicious about that. What about bioaccumulation? I hope that sooner than later more truths about the dangers of aspartame and other synthetic food additives come to light...

Those of us in the natural health and clean food sphere have known for many years, perhaps decades. As usual, education about how to achieve and maintain good health was/is trumped by the potential for profits by both big ag and big pharma - now becoming one and the same.

Enjoy an interview with Dr. Russell Blaylock on these topics from last week: https://thehighwire.com/ark-videos/aspartames-deadly-secret/

Thankfully his book "Excitotoxins: The Taste That Kills" has been warning people, including me, since the 1990's.

Thank you for this. Can you comment on Magnesium Aspartate? I take magnesium and have recently found this is included in my supplement (a magnesium blend) but now see that it is linked to aspartame and neurotoxicity.

Aspartate is NOT a problem, it is merely an amino acid that your body can produce itself. Aspartame is a synthetic compound made from aspartatic acid and phenylalanine (that’s why not here is always the PKU warning).

When I added powdered glycine to my regimen, I was surprised to find out that it is sweet - mildly so, but it is sweet. Just a curiosity & comment that many things are perceived as sweet. As far as aI am aware Stevia remains safe (haven’t looked at it in a while though).

Thanks FLCCC.

Aspartame has been known to be carcinogenic for years. Banned in Europe.

"Why did Europe ban aspartame?

Food standards agencies rule out aspartame bans as scientists ...

Since 1977, scientists have warned of the risks of brain lesions, cancer and neurological disorders from consuming aspartame, which is found in thousands of products around the world including diet soft drinks."

Coca Cola & Pepsi Cola renamed the aspartame in their drinks. Now labelled as Flavour Enhancers.
