They had courage then, during so much that was unknown. But now, when we know just how devestaing to humanity as a species these things are, IMA decide to play it safe and follow, instead of leading.

Only my brother is still alive but his lung transplant was put on hold for two years, resulting in him requiring a double lung transplant instead of just one.

In order to obtain science-based data on efficacy, adverse effects, and quality of pharmaceuticals that is trustworthy, there is no other option I can think of than the one I propose, which consists of an open source hierarchical database that has these subsystems at the state level:
1 - sampling of vials and/or containers at the point of administration, with a sample based algorithm based on quality control of both the pharmaceutical an the point of administration.
2 - a state-wide real time database of patient complete patient records, similar to https://cosmos.epic.com
3 - a real time control system, probably using AI algorithms, that will flag patients for autopsy or medical tests upon death, to confirm cause of death.
4. Feedback to 1 and 2 based on 3 to flag sampling procedures and treatment procedures that exceed safety limits.
In addition, at the federal level, given a "friendly" HHS, there needs to be:
1. Complete open reporting of manufacturing quality standards for all sources of pharmaceuticals. The results should feed 1 above as well as 4.
2. A database of complete contents of a pharmaceutical in its distribution form that defines limits for 1 and is used to populate the informed consent provided to patients.
With respect to patient informed consent, the results of 1-4 should be used to dynamically modify the efficacy, adverse effects, the source manufacturing quality scores, and the expected contents of the pharmaceuticals. A patient should be given a written informed consent before being prescribed any pharmaceutical or where a medical procedure is suggested. This should be done by the prescribing healthcare provider and NOT at the pharmacist or as the patient is putting on a gown to go to have the procedure. The informed consent along with the information provided should become a part of the patient's medical record. There should be immediate adverse consequences for inaccurate and subsequently adverse effects related to informed consents.
There is much more detail I give to the above lists, and there's much more required to restore integrity to the health profession. For example, pharmaceutical companies should not be ableto advertise on any media, since what they say can not be controlled for timely accuracy and informed consent.
