Christ still does miraculous healing. Over 45 years ago a Christian woman prayed for me, in the name of Jesus, and I was instantly healed. No symptoms for over 45 years! Seriously, people need to turn to Christ. You can’t heal the soul with pills or anything else; they only treat the symptoms. Seek Christ and His healing power. He loves you and wants you restored.

I need help, i tried tapering it off of duloxetine as directed. It was a nightmare. I am now on the lowest dose. I want off completely but have not received proper help.

Hi Anita, you are not alone. There is help, have you heard of the Inner Compass Initiative? It came up in the webinar: https://www.theinnercompass.org

No I have not. I had heard of a term called retractable and it being a negative occurrence for people trying to taper off. I will look at this link . Thank you for your time!

Years ago and probably the last time I went to the doctor I was having irregular periods. You’ll never guess what he tried to prescribe me. That and him trying to bully me into injecting my child is why I never went back. Thanks to those who are exposing the truth.

The enzyme activity of Enkephalinase and the metabolism of endorphins , play an important role in the transportation of these chemicals via the red blood cell in the brain . SSRIs blunt this natural mechanism associated with strenuous exercise and runner ‘s high effect .

Thank you Dr's and especially Laura.

So frustrating when you seek help but end up getting hurt on top of the pain you carry.

This is one of the hot-button issues in the MAHA movement. Those who advocate for medical freedom oppose it in the case of SSRIs. I've discovered that both extremes are wrong through personal experience. SSRIs are absolutely beneficial, but in much lower doses than the manufacturers tell you.

I have tried many alternative therapies, including acupressure, aromatherapy, biofeedback, cognitive-behavioral therapy, electromagnetic fields, exercise, functional medicine, low-glycemic low-oxalate organic anti-inflammatory diet, meditation, music therapy, polyvagal exercises, prayer, qigong, red light, reiki, sound therapy, supplements, taiji, tapping, traditional Chinese medicine, yoga.

Nothing gave me anywhere near the improvement I got with a low dose of SSRIs (20% of what the manufacturer recommends). I avoided the bad side effects at the low doses, and the improvement was easily noticeable by others.

The decision should not be all or nothing, and it should be made by the patient.

You make a great point Surak, and I am glad you shared it. The decision should not be all or nothing. It's just that it currently feels a lot like "ALL" when it comes to SSRIs in the world today, doesn't it? It sounds like you have a thoughtful approach, and one I had not fully considered

I completely agree. I've been on a low dose of Zoloft for 22 years. Meds along with therapy and my faith saved me. I've had no side effects, and I don't feel numb or stimulated; I feel like myself again. On the other hand, doctors need to be careful to whom they prescribe antidepressants because not everyone needs them. If the medical community could find a way to take time to treat the whole mind and body, it would make it somewhat easier to find the root cause of anxiety and depression and how best to treat people.

PS: DMS-IV needs a big revision/reset. In the 1980s it took a very bad downturn based on PC and not science. We need to correct the errors made over the past few decades.

There are useful drugs like Ketamine that can be very useful for short-term use and used with psychotherapy can keep someone off long-term use of SSRI, SNRI. Other agents like Ayahuasca, Kampo, MDMA, Psilocybin and others being researched may supersede the pharmaceuticals like Prozac, Zoloft, etc.

I want off this drug. No one told me I would feel like I'm being zapped in the head every few minutes if I stop. Such BS
