This is one of IMA's most important Substack posts. Immensely helpful resource that not only checks out factually but introduces readers to the foundational Cancer Care text by Dr. Marik and Dr Hope. A must-read.
I'm glad you see that! There are even more cancer care guides coming too. I've had several family members afflicted by cancer, never once has an oncologist said anything about cancer stem cells. When Dr. Marik explains them, it becomes highly intuitive!
I saw this with deceased family members. They prefer to be dead but known as obedient to authority, rather than take responsibility for their own lives.
This recently happened to my sister who has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. They immediately began alternative repurposed meds and supplements. When certain diagnosis came thru, the dr would not treat her if she was on these alternative therapeutics. They recently found an integrative dr who will manage her care. Hopefully they will have the care plan tomorrow. It has been frustrating and sad. Please keep her and her loving husband in your prayers. I sent the pdf to them to share w their dr. Thank you for your work IMA. We are proud supporters of your work.
This divinely led research is where donations should and shall flock. Gratitude doesn't articulate my appreciation as a #Turbocancer to-the-brain recent survivor. I will do everything in my power to spread this article like the metastatic miracle I was blessed to mission-drive as a Leptomeningeal rare case study. I do have a few questions on dosage recommendations and suppliers that combine multiple recommended root killers, so any channel for continued discourse and discussion would be great.
Dr. Kristina Carman (ND) and I (MD) are teaming up on a piece as to why it is important for cancer patients to not only connect with traditional Western medicine but also with a HOLISTIC practitioner (Integrative, Alternative or Functional Medicine) at the SAME time. Having both on your team increases the chances of surviving cancer and coming out ahead.
I am often saddened by the fact that patients only see Oncology and don't come to us until the last minute (when other options fail), and they expect a miracle. We have a better chance earlier in therapy and prevention then when folks are end-stage (Stage 4) and ready for palliative care. Keep an eye out for a Substack on some basic principles and guidance on this front.
Mainstream oncologists are likely to dismiss this article as the majority of evidence derives from preclinical studies rather than randomized controlled trials (RCTs).
That said, launching an RCT in this area faces significant challenges in securing the necessary funding and resources.
Dr. William Makis has shared numerous 'case testimonials' on Substack and X (Twitter), but these are often disregarded by mainstream oncologists for lacking robust clinical evidence.
However, the 'clinical translational gap' needs to be addressed through rigorous clinical studies or at least a well-managed patient registry.
Moving forward, obtaining proper ethics committee approval for a formal clinical trial or launching a 'virtual trial' platform—such as https://virtualtrials.org/brain/ could provide a feasible path to generate meaningful clinical data.
We use Natera, yet some insurances will not approve/pay for it. They say it has no evidence of changing care planning nor extending benefit or life. I would love to send them studies refuting and disproving them. There are few on Natera website but I am far from entertaining them without a cancer expert, being only an integrative NP who, after 20 years, is sick of reading studies.

IMMENSELY GRATEFUL to Dr. Paul Marik and Dr. Justus Hope!
It’s a shame when this is brought up to a cancer patient, they then ask a traditional oncologist who tells them not to do these things.

Agree completely. Husbands dr said “supplements are like opening a black box”.

The IMA/FLCCC previously launched an observational cancer study focused on repurposed drugs; however, updates on its progress have so far been lacking https://imahealth.org/flccc-launches-observational-cancer-study-focused-on-repurposed-drugs/.
