Interesting. I decided to stop vaccinating my pets last year. I read a post (and communicated with the writer) from a man who has rabies titers done instead, and they have repeatedly shown the pets still didn't need another shot even after many years.

My golden retriever has only had her puppy shots and initial rabies vaccine. I don’t have her licensed with the city because that would require an updated rabies shot. I also had to find a groomer that is willing to take her without an updated rabies shot. I’m just not convinced they are necessary….I mean when she’s not out adventuring with me, she’s at home sleeping on the couch all day!! From what I’ve read, rabies shots can last 7 years or longer meaning even if they were necessary, they would need a maximum of 2 in a lifetime.
